According to the CDC “Someone in the United States has a stroke every 40 seconds.” They are the 5th leading cause of death in the US. In order to keep up with these statistics, receive appropriate reimbursement and report the most detailed severity of illness for our patients who have had a stroke, it is important to understand the ICD-10-CM guidelines and apply them appropriately.

Questions and topics that will be answered during this training include:

  • Searching for documentation clues and elements needed for the greatest severity of illness.
